Affiliate Marketing Revised

OK, forget everything you know about affiliate marketing. The tactics of the past few years just don't work anymore. If you play by the old rules, you will lose this game.

The big lie

You've probably heard how easy it is to start an affiliate business. And it is - sort of. It's far easier that developing, selling and supporting your own product. But that doesn't mean it's easy.

Here's the ugly truth

And to make matters worse, you've taught to do it the hard way. The first thing you're taught is to pick some great products. Next do some keyword research. Then to use these keywords to buy ads promoting the product. And finally get a fat check for all the sales. But this just won't work!

Don't bother with keywords

There was a time when this worked. But the competition has shot the price of keywords through the roof. So, throw it all away.

The NEW game

There is a solution to this problem. Follow this method and win again...

  • Start using CPA marketing
  • Instead of researching keywords, research demographics
  • Market on display networks

Do CPA marketing instead of product promotion

CPA stands for Cost Per Action. It's much better than promoting a product. Because you don't have to get people to spend money. You earn a commission for having them perform an "action". Such as filling in a form. And it's much easier to get them to do that.

Do demographics research

You're not even going to use keywords (explained below.) So spend your time doing demographics research. First you select your CPA offer. Next, you go to Quantcast.com. And research what kinds of people will be interested.

Market on display networks

Now you have your offer and your demographics. You can target these exact demographics on display networks. Using image ads. And you don't need to know or buy a single keyword. The biggest advantage is price. Image ad clicks are much cheaper.

Summing it up

This is truly a quick cash concept. Because getting started in CPA is free. Image ads are cheap. You can use demographics to target your ideal prospect. And getting them to take an action is much easier than making a sale.

7 reasons why you MUST have your own info product

Think about this: What's the biggest reason millions of people log onto the internet each day? You probably already guessed that it's to find information. This is so ubiquitous a quest that Google handles 400 million queries a day! OK, so what's it to you? This quest for information is an opportunity for you to fill a need. And when done correctly, you can get paid for it, too!

Info marketing explained

This is by far the simplest business you can start. You take information and turn it into a digital product - like and ebook. And other people buy this product to get the info. Sounds simple enough, right?

But how does it all work?

We've established that it's a simple concept. In order to be successful you've got to provide information people want. So step one is to discover what kind of info people want. How do figure that out?

One easy way to figure it out is with a simple search. Visit answers.yahoo.com or similar sites and see what kinds of questions people are asking. Your goal is to find a common problem. Something that most people don't already know. And provide the answer - in the form of an info product.

Power tip

Don't worry! Info product creation is easy... Put it this way: An info product is just a bunch of articles strung together. So instead of sitting down to write the whole thing. Just try to write one or two articles a day. And once you have bunch of good ones, refine and expand on them and put them together into an ebook.

Why info products? Funny you should ask . . . Here are the seven reasons

1. Simplicity and ease

As soon as you have the pieces in place, it's virtually maintenance free. Custom support is all but non-existent. So it's nearly a 100% hands-free business. You're building a completely automated business.

You have no physical inventory. There's nothing to ship. It's digital.

2. Repurposing

Once you have a few info products created. You can put together bigger more expensive information products. It's nothing to combine the content from several ebooks. And you'll be able to charge much more for this "new" product. People will be willing to pay a lot more for one big ebook. Versus multiple smaller ones.

3. Resale rights

You can grant other people resell rights to your own products. This is a very popular topic right now, because people just don't want to invest the time and money into making their own. Plus, you're selling the same product . . . but for 3 times the price for the rights!

4. Leverage

Leverage means doing something once and reaping multiple rewards. Use part of it to make an autoresponder series. And build an email list that you can sell other products to.

5. More leverage

You can also take parts of your ebook and turn it into smaller eBooks. Then you can use the reports as the front-end of your product funnel. They can be free or low prices. And you're creating targeted leads for your main product all along. Taking this technique to the max, you can let your affiliate give the reports away for you. Wait, did I say "affiliates"?

6. Affiliates

This is a real power strategy. When you own your own products. You're able to let other people market it for you. Imagine having 100's or 1000's of other people promoting your products. You've got to have your own products to have affiliates.

7. Joint Ventures

I've saved the best for last. Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. So, I'd say this is the most important reason to have you own products. Because if you don't have you own product, you've got nothing to JV.

In closing

If you don't want to sell digital products by now, then you've probably been sleeping. You'll be the master of your destiny. Because you're the boss! So, decide to just start:

  • Visit an "answers" site
  • Find out what people need to know
  • Start writing

The steps on how to write an ebook are really that easy. Before you know it, you'll have your own info product.

Using Web Audio for Success

It would be hard to argue against the fact that adding audio to a website increases your overall results. If you don't have audio in your arsenal, you're missing out. It will boost your opt-in rate. It boosts sales, too.

But why?

There's no real mystery. Audio breaks the silence of the web. Audio adds a human quality to your site. It also makes your site feel more real. In short, it makes your site come alive. Which fascinates greater interaction from your visitors.

Some more benefits

Adding audio increases your profits in two ways. You will close more sales. And you'll spend less getting those customers. You won't have to hire someone to write your sales letter. You can just add your own audio. Your honest message about your product will sell better than a professional copywriter.

And you will increase your subscriber opt-in rate. People need to be told exactly what to do. So you make an audio recording that says: Fill in your name and email and click submit. A simple message like this will increase your opt-in conversions by 305% or more!

How to use website audio

Put a welcome message that plays automatically on your site, Most websites are cold and in-human. Your welcome message could make them stay when they would normally leave.

Lead them by the had. The same principle the we used to boost opt-ins applies. Use an audio message to lead your visitors through a process. That includes filling in your order form!

Get testimonials for your services and products. Written testimonials are good. But audio testimonials are great! It's pretty easy to fake a written testimonial. Audio adds a level of higher believability. And that increases your results.

Sneaky tick

Did you ever think of making a product just by recording some audio? Audio is faster to produce than anything else. Plus people love audio products. Podcasts are still popular, so this is a great format. And once you record the audio, you can pay someone to transcribe it for you. Then you've got an eBook, too - but it was easy to create!

Is it hard to add audio?

It's not hard at all. You can find a lot of programs that create audio buttons for you. You don't actually have to do anything yourself. The software records the audio, creates the button code, etc. Just paste the code you copy from the software. There's nothing to worry about.

In closing

Just a reminder of why you want to start using audio. Setting up some web audio will do wonders for all your results. No doubt your sales will go up. You will also increase your subscriber opt-ins. And you can quickly produce products and website sales copy. It's a less often used medium. So you'll be one of the few reaping the rewards. Get started right now and realize instant results.
